Oculus Rift Detail Breakdown

Let's talk about the Oculus Rift and its future.  Oculus Rift is a little spendy so the market hasn't really taken on yet but when it does gaming will change forever.  Virtual Reality isn't something new to the world from movies like Lawnmower Man to Gamer.  We as humans tend to dream big and for some reason end up creating things that we only dreamed we can do.  Virtual Reality is one of the things we thought we couldn't do just like going out in space.  Let's keep on the nerd tip our brains are a pot of information that has been manipulated into thinking something exist when it doesn't.  Just like space once people break through the barriers of change VR will be our kids next gaming realm.   In order, for the masses to get brainwashed into submission with VR it needs to come down in pricing.  It usually does but all the people that have money can obtain the experience early of course.

At the price tag of 600 bones ($600), the headset itself is more expensive than a console.  Anyways, the price isn't a big deal once you play with VR long enough it will be well worth the price and then some.  If you got a VR set like Oculus you know what I am saying.  It's putting you into a new era of game mode most people will not get until 2020.  Also, having to break the old habits of gaming style with keyboard and mouse is change enough for most.  Interacting with games like this is a whole new bag of crazy when I tried it out.  I love it!  Well, this is one of the things I hoped to be alive for back in the Lawnmower Man movie days.

The Oculus Rift has got to be the best so far on the VR scene.  The headset is pretty comfortable I have to say.  I am sure later on down the road it will be more form fitting.  We might have contact lenses that control the eye lighting fully without needing a headset period.  I can see why this headgear could mess with a person equilibrium.   Anything that is connected to your eyes can trick your senses and orientation.  So, feeling like you are really in the game once it grabs your focus other small imperfections tend to get ignored while in gameplay.  Ok, let's take a look at what comes with the Oculus Rift?

And now for the bad news.  Oculus Rift for consoles not bad but still will be costly a bit.  Now, if you are planning on building a PC ready machine this might cost a little bit more than doing it on a console.  If you take a look at requirements you will see what needs to upgrade on your PC if not already meeting these specs.  Finally, you have your Oculus installed and followed the instructions right?  What is next?  Check this out, Oculus Rift, of course, has its own platform inside called Oculus Home.  You will get used to navigating this Oculus Home in no time.  Getting all of your games, apps and VR things is just like any other platform but with a headset on.  I have added an image of what the Oculus Home looks like with headset on.

Oculus Home games, apps and VR content.

We are in the early stages of VR still so some games are good and other not so good right now.  All in all, VR is the next era for the next generation of gamers.  We are getting close to the Gamer 2009 Movie but let's hope some kid can't control us with a VR set in RL (Real World).  This is about it, on what I wanted to say to you all about the Oculus Rift.  Conclusion if you can afford in your budget to buy Oculus Rift it is running for $600 and above.  I can see this VR thing turning into a new addiction for therapist and bad on relationships.  Let me know what you think in the comments below.
